Golf culture is the best.
Police shockingly arrested Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world, Friday morning ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship. And though it sounds bad on paper (and originally, it was, and still is based on Scottie’s charges), it’s actually a good thing in the world of golf. Come to find out, Scheffler isn’t the first golfer to ever be arrested in the middle of a major tournament. In fact, one got arrested and then went on to win that same tournament.
That golfing legend is Bobby Jones, the only golfer in history to win the calendar year grand slam. He also founded the Augusta National Golf Club.
The great Fred Albers reporting this isn’t the first time a competitor was arrested during a major championship. Bobby Jones once left the Open Championship premises after a morning round, tried to reenter for his afternoon round and was detained. He wound up winning that week.

In terms of content, this Scottie Scheffler story has provided some of the best I’ve ever seen out of the golf realm.
I mean, not only is history working out for Scottie, but the content is making this guy look … well … kinda cool.

As far as I’m concerned, Scottie Scheffler’s arrest was a gift to society.
